Lupus is debilitating. It also affects each person differently. Which, for doctors and researchers, makes the disease very challenging. Lupus is one of the more complex autoimmune diseases known to science. But for years, the world’s best minds have worked tirelessly to find a cure.
Today, we’re going to turn the tables on Lupus. The Ladies of Lupus Foundation is joining a multi-decade fight with those who are also pioneering research and information resources with the goal to promote research funding. With the new level of advanced sciences available, doctors are now able to look at each patient as a single case, individualizing each immune system and analyzing different complexities rather than considering each case generally. What we’ve learned is that most cases are unique, and each person is affected differently, making the right combination of treatments preeminent.
